Photographic material, with a base and layer(s) of spectrally-sensitized silver halide emulsion(s), contains 1,3,5- or 3,4,5-substituted 1,2,4-triazole(s). Photographic material, with a base and layer(s) of spectrally-sensitized silver halide emulsion(s), contains optionally 1- or 4-substituted 3-amino- or 3-hydroxy-5-(substituted amino)-1,2,4-triazole(s) of formulae (IA) and/or (IB). R1, R4 = hydrogen (H), alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkenyl or heterocyclyl; R2, R3 = mono- or di-substituted amino N(R7)H or N(R8)R9, or in one case only, hydroxyl (OH) or amino NH2; R5, R6 = mono- or di-substituted amino N(R10)H or N(R11)R12, or in one case only, OH or NH2; R7-R12 = alkyl, aryl, aralkyl or heterocyclyl; or R4 + R5 or R5 + R6 and/or R8 + R9 = group completing a heteroaliphatic ring; or R11 + R12 = group completing a heterocycle.
