Cleaning hard surfaces with a solution containing a quaternary trialkanolammonium salt and an alkylamidobetaine, aminopropionate, aminoglycinate, imidazolium betaine and sulfobetaine surfactant

Hard surfaces are cleaned using an aqueous cleaning solution that has a pH of 6-14, exhibits rheopexic viscosity behavior and comprises: a quaternary trialkanolammonium salt (I) and an alkylamidobetaine, aminopropionate, aminoglycinate, imidazolium betaine and sulfobetaine surfactant (II); a higher fatty acid (III); a complexing agent (IV); and an alkyl polyglycoside (V). Method for cleaning hard surfaces comprises applying an aqueous cleaning solution to the surface and rinsing it off with water. The solution has a pH of 6-14, exhibits rheopexic viscosity behavior and comprises: a quaternary trialkanolammonium salt of formula (I) and an alkylamidobetaine, aminopropionate, aminoglycinate, imidazolium betaine and sulfobetaine surfactant (II); a saturated or unsaturated fatty acid (III) with 8-20 carbon (C) atoms; a complexing agent (IV); and an alkyl polyglycoside (V): R8(OR9)y(OZ)x (II) R1 = 1-6C alkyl, alkenyl or aryl; R2-R4 = 2-4C alkylene; R5-R7 = H or 6-20C aliphatic or aromatic acyl, no more than two being H; Y = an anion; R8 = 6-30C alkyl, alkenyl, hydroxyalkyl or aryl; R9 = 2-4C alkylene; OZ = glycosyl residue of a 5-6C reducing sugar; x = 1-10; y = 0-12. An Independent claim is also included for a concentrate comprising (weight): 0.5-10% (I) or (II); 0.5-10% (III); 1-50% (IV); 0.1-10 wt.% (V); 5-40% alkali metal hydroxide and alkanolamine; and optionally 5-20 wt.% alcohol and glycol ether solvent.
