A plant protectant composition (I) comprises an aqueous solution or suspension containing: (a) the quassinoid active agents quassin, neoquassin and 18-hydroxyquassin; (b) active agents from the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), specifically azadirachtin; and (c) surfactant(s), antioxidation stabilizer(s), preservative(s) and optionally non-aqueous solvents and other auxiliaries. A plant protectant composition (I) comprises an aqueous solution or suspension containing: (a) the quassinoid active agents quassin, neoquassin and 18-hydroxyquassin (preferably in the form of an extract of the wood of Quassia amara and/or Picrasma excelsa); (b) active agents from the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), specifically azadirachtin, preferably in the form of a plant extract; and (c) surfactant(s), antioxidation stabilizer(s), preservative(s) and optionally non-aqueous solvents and other auxiliaries.
