An Independent claim is also included for an apparatus for carrying out the process, comprising: a reaction chamber; one or more nozzles for delivering surfactant-containing liquid droplets; and an inlet for the hot gas and/or dust stream; an outlet for purified waste air; and an outlet for deposited liquid.
