The connector has a housing with several holders extending in the longitudinal direction with contacts (64,66,68,70,72) designed to accept contact pins, e.g. aircraft contact pins, at their free outer ends. At least one contact is associated with a monitoring sensor (82,84) in the form of a temperature sensor directly contact by the contact or mounted in a metal block in surface contact with a contact element.
