The Christmas tree stand comprises a pot filled with earth in which a recess is cut into which the trunk (6) of the tree is inserted, the earth then being packed around it. The pot may be mounted on a T-shaped plate (5) whose central arm is fixed in the ground and which has eyelets (8) at the ends of its other arms to which support cables (7) may be fixed.
