The finishing train (1) has workpiece holders (3) for each machining device (7) serving as a workpiece table. The workpiece holders and the machining device are aligned accurately positioned relative to each other and the workpiece remains clamped on the workpiece holder and these are moved individually asynchronously relative to each other. When machining a workpiece the work piece holders are moved synchronised with the machining units (9) of each machining device.
