Fuel tank for land vehicle, has flat base with dam walls on top of it for guiding fuel towards removal point region

The tank base (2) has an essentially flat surface (5) on top of which stand several dam walls (6, 7). During normal vehicle motion these walls guide fuel from an outer region to a fuel removal point (3) in an inner region and/or cause a build-up of fuel in the fuel removal point region. The tank and dam walls are integrated into a single, preferably blow-moulded, plastic part. The dam walls contain openings which can be sealed using pivoting flaps.
