The attachment to wring out mops, and other wet/damp cleaning utensils, has a permeable holder (1) which fits on to a bucket for the mop to pressed against it. The walls are spring sections (3) with a convex curvature, so that the pressure applied on the mop distorts them to increase the clear width, and the curvature is reduced. The spring wall sections give a funnel-shaped holder in the structure of a wringing basket (5), tapering downwards like a tulip glass. The holder is an injection molded polymer unit.
