The cooking-oven has an oven-muffle (4) with opening closed by a door (6). Next to a door-handle (64), the door has an outer hollow door cavity (56) facing an outer chamber (46). The last of one or more inner door hollow cavities (58) faces the inner chamber (50) of the oven muffle. A cooler sucks up initial cold air near or below the door handle via at least one first suction opening (72) from the outer chamber, and leads it through the outer and then through the inner door cavities. In a top or bottom part of the last inner door cavity the cold air is blown out of the door through at least one initial blower opening (66)
