Process for producing and evaluating highly energetic biomass, especially maize and/or rape, comprises placing the biomass on a high quality base, and using an evaluating mass for evaluating the biomass. Preferred Features: Biogas slurry from a biogas plant is used as the evaluating mass. A part of the biomass is evaluated in a biogas plant. Biogas obtained in the biogas plant is used to produce a current and/or heat. Effluent is fed to the biogas plant.
