The work (15) support (13) rotates round a horizontal axis (14) on a vertical stand (10) and the headstock (24) is guided (27) horizontally along a first horizontal axis (Y1). The guide (27) forms a frame (22) to surround a blind-covered window (23) within which the headstock operates, with stand and headstock guide (27) giving an L shape in plan complete with walls and access door. The frame is completed by a second headstock (30) running on a bottom guide (28) as adjoined below by an apron and swarf bin.
