摘要

Computer-tomographic images are first captured for the area of interest in the patient like the nasal area and then stored in a computer memory. After segmenting and determining the nasal area walls that define the airway for air breathed in and out through the nasal area, a 3D structure is defined for the walls in this nasal area. Using a defined path of coordinates for these walls and a Cartesian grating technique detects a flow field and displays it to a user on a screen.
