The garage door comprises a shell rotating about a horizontal axis close to the ground and enclosing a space corresponding to a quarter circle of a cylinder or prism. The door has one open position and two closed positions where one closes into the garage giving access to the forecourt of the garage and the other closes off the forecourt and the garage itself. The shell comprises two quarter circle side walls and a cover wall connecting same. Compensating weights and springs and cables make operating the door easy.
