Gasket seal, for the cylinder head of an internal combustion motor, has at least one cover sheet layer and at least two neighboring openings (1,2) for the cylinders separated by a web (3). A beading (13) is around the cylinder openings, with adjacent stiffeners (7,8) to restrict distortion as segments which are clear of the web zones. The stiffeners are formed by a thickening, or double the gasket material, or folding over, or they are a beading in the shape of an omega.
