The tape is for use with any type of jacket. It is length-adjustable, flexible, or elastic, and has a button acting with the buttonhole on the other side of the jacket. When the jacket is worn open, the tape hangs down inside and is invisible. The tape may be soft and of fabric, or rigid of e.g. metal, plastic, or fabric and elastic. Both jacket halves may be connected with their edges next to each other, or via a gap.
