The cooling medium pump comprises a belt pulley (3) mounted on a shaft (2) by the inner surface of a bearing seat, and a ball bearing (6) installed between the outer surface of the bearing seat and rolling bearing bore in the pump casing. An impeller (7) is installed on the other end of the shaft, with the adjacent shaft section supported in a plain bearing (9). In the shaft area between the plain bearing and ball bearing a radial shaft sealing ring (11) is installed in a sealing seat in the pump casing and divides the remaining inner space of the bearing housing into a sealing chamber (13) and leakage chamber (15).
