Ultrasonic flow meter with temperature compensation provided by temperature sensor in parallel with ultrasonic measurement transducers

Ultrasonic transmitter/receiver transducers (2,3) operating in bursts, and clamped to the side of a pipe (1), are connected to a measurement circuit (100) by leads (23). Internally at least one transducer has a temperature sensor connected in parallel with it for temperature compensation. During the intervals between measurement bursts the temperature recorded by the sensor is measured.
