The granular product is poured into a hopper (4), centrally positioned over a flat horizontal table (2) which is driven by a motor (1). The table may be lifted and lowered on its drive shaft (9). Grids (3-3'') may be lowered onto the table to pick up grains. One of the grids may be hinged to tip grains into a sample collection hopper (8). A camera (7) is mounted at the top of a sphere (6) with lamps (5) arranged to give shadow-free illumination of grains held in one of the grids.
