Electronic cooking aid has an electronic circuit and temperature sensor (4), a loudspeaker (5) and a floating body (1,2) made of two parts of similar thermal expansion properties that are welded or glued together to provide a sealed enclosed volume. The electronics are contained within the hollow volume and the loudspeaker (5) uses a surface section (1) extending from the fluid as an acoustic membrane. An Independent claim is made for a floating body (1, 2) with its part tightly sealed together.
