To form shaped bodies from a recycled paper pulp suspension, a suction mold is immersed in the pulp and jets deliver structured pulp sprays at the molded body to give required characteristics
To form shaped bodies from a raw paper mass, and the like, a suction mold is immersed in a pulp suspension to form a shape at it by suction from the suspended solids. The shaped body is removed from the mold and dried. One or more jets (4) are aligned at suitable points on the inner and/or outer sides of the shaped body (3) at the suction mold (2). During the suction molding, the jets use vacuum to spray a paper pulp suspension of at least one different composition on to the mold. The vacuum system (5) for suction and the jets are activated virtually simultaneously and held in function. To form shaped bodies from a paper pulp suspension, the jets deliver different quantities and/or consistencies of the pulp on to the shaped body at the suction mold, for the jet sprays to develop different wall thicknesses or body thickness and surface structures i.e. reliefs. The positions of the jets can be varied, and the number of jets used is set according to the design of the suction mold and the required characteristics in the shaped bodies. An Independent claim is included for an assembly to shape bodies from a paper pulp suspension held in a vessel (1). A suction mold, linked to a vacuum system, is immersed in the pulp and jets are aligned at the inner and/or outer sides of the shaped body at the mold. The jets are mounted to a holder (10). Each jet is linked to a pulp container (9) by a feed channel (7) with a control valve (6) and a pump (8). Preferred Features: Each control valve is connected to a control unit (11). The pump has an electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic operation and is linked to the control unit. The jets have spacers (12) and/or sensors to maintain the required gap between them and the suction mold.
