Covering for step-on surfaces, incorporates granular filler material bound through polyurethane-containing bonding agent

The bonding agent is present in a sufficient quantity to bind the granules in a water-tight manner. The covering is 2-6mm thick and can be made in the form of plates or a web. It is flexible and easy-to-bend and the bonding agent and/or the filler material can be dyed. The filler material can also be coated with a colored material, which encases it before introduction of the bonding agent. Different patterns or designs can be created through the use of filling materials with different granule sizes, structures or colors.
