The pump has a nozzle and a two-part intake section (5) around the nozzle. The two parts (1,2) of the intake section are welded together. The weld seam is peripheral to seal to neighboring areas of the parts. The welded joint extends through the nozzle (3) at right angles to the flow direction of the propellant through the nozzle. One of the parts is fabricated from a plastic, which is permeable for a chosen light wavelength, the second part is of a plastic, which is non-permeable for that light wavelength. The parts are connected by friction or Laser welding.
