The reorientation device for a stream of especially paper products in a formation has a stop consisting of a horizontally running yet vertically disposed endless belt (10) which by one side reaches under the plane of the sheet (2) abutting it, and the run (14) of which facing the incoming sheet is driven in the same direction with the cross conveyor (12) for the sideways guiding of the sheets. The tensioning of the endless belt is adjustable, and the endless belt at least in the region of the impacting sheet is unsupported or elastically supported.
