The chewing gum package contains strips (7) of gum whose thickness (d) is increased and whose breadth (c) is decreased compared with conventional strips. This allows reduced amounts of foil and paper to be used in packing, without reducing the amount of gum in each strip. An Independent claim is included for a method for making the package.
