A send-receive module for bidirectional optical news and signal transmission comprises an optical fibre, a light sender (2), a receiver (3) of light of a different wavelength with both being coupled in series to the optical fibre. A means (5) is provided which prevents the receiver detecting transmitted wavelengths.
