The continuous combustion engine has a compressor (10), a combustion chamber and a working part (14). The compressor and the working part provided by a cogwheel pair in the form of an Eaton pump, having an outer cogwheel (16) and an inner cogwheel (18) which differ in the number of cog teeth by 1 and which are positioned eccentric to one another by at least half the height of the cog teeth. This is so that the cog teeth are in engagement over one third segment, in partial engagement over a second third segment and out of engagement over the remaining third segment.
