The locking linkage, mounted to the under side of a folding table, pivots around a bearing pin (22) which slides in an elongated hole at the mounting bracket (18). The mounting bracket has a locking projection (28), and a locking cam (24) projects from the swing leg. When the leg is swung into a given position, a spring (27) locks the bracket and leg projections together, and the position of the elongated hole secures the locking action. A sliding movement of the pin in the hole releases the lock.
