The sliver drawing units, at a number of neighboring spinning stations, have condensing zones for the drawn slivers with suction from a common suction tube (19) along the line of spinning stations. The suction tube is at a gap from the final drawing rollers (7). Separate housings (18) are mounted to the suction tube at each spinner, to give the sliding surfaces (17) for the sliver transport belts over the suction slits (21), and bridge the gaps between the suction tube and the wedge-gaps (29) between the two rollers (11,13) forming the final pair of drawing rollers. The condensing zones for drawn sliver, at the drawing units for adjacent spinning stations, have side guide surfaces for the sliver transport belts (16) at the separate housings. The suction tube has suction openings (37) at each spinning station, shrouded by the separate housings as hollow profiles (32) with side covers (33). Each of the separate condensing zone housings has a deflection roller (23) for the sliver transport belts, driven by a friction roller (28).
