The mechanism to cut and advance the fabric workpiece, at a sewing machine, has a moving blade (7) and a fixed counter blade (10) as the cutting unit. The stroke movement of the moving blade is taken from the movements of the fabric advance system with a shaft (1), eccentric (2), holder block (3) and the fabric advance (4). The movements are transferred to the moving blade through a bolt (8). The mechanism to cut and advance a fabric workpiece, at a sewing machine, has a bolt which slides in a holding block (3) at the fabric advance mechanism, to give the movement transmissions to the moving cutting blade.
