The method involves detecting the magnetic flux density or magnetic field strengths and distribution of the corresponding magnetic field over a suitable envelope around an electronic or electrical apparatus. The measured magnetic field distribution is described using equivalent sources (field transformation). The electrical current density is determined in a model of the human body using a numerical field calculation based on the determined magnetic field distribution of the equivalent sources.
