Electrical capacitor with over-pressure protection has connection between capacitor winding and external terminal tags ruptured in response to internal over-pressure

The capacitor has a beaker-shaped housing (7) fitted with a sealed cover (10) provided with external terminal tags (8), the capacitor winding (1) within the housing having terminal wires (3) coupled to the terminal tags via a connection path (9) which is ruptured in response to an over-pressure. The capacitor winding is received in an inner beaker (2), displaced by an internal over-pressure for rupturing the connection path. An Independent claim for a method of manufacturing a capacitor with over-pressure protection is also included.
