The electronically controllable locking device consists of a lock (1) and a handle (2) with which the key-bolt(s) can be slid by action upon the lock mechanism of the lock equipped with at least one key-bolt (3). Between the handle and the lock is located a coupling (4) which makes or releases the connection between the handle and the key-bolt(s) by control with electrical signals. The coupling makes the connection of the handle with the key-bolt(s) only for a sufficient time for the opening of the door or gate, preferably for five seconds.
