The cover for a toilet seat comprises two sections (4, 6) connected by central hinges (8, 10) which unfold to the shape of a conventional seat. Spacers (12- 18) around the edge keep it clear of the actual seat and disposable adhesive covers may be fitted in the grooves where the spacers contact it.
