Early diagnosis and monitoring of caries, by molecular-genetic detection of bacterial markers, especially Streptococcus of the mutans group

Early detection and monitoring of caries progression in which a cariogenic marker bacterium (A), especially a Streptococcus, is detected by a molecular-genetic method, without use of culture medium. An Independent claim is also included for a sampling kit for sterile collection of plaque and/or saliva samples.
