Float-mounted aerated water jet directed at an oblique angle to lagoon floor sediments in the direction of lagoon bank

In a process to reduce the depth of sedimentary deposits in e.g. lakes, waste water lagoons and settling basins, a float bearing a downwards-inclined water jet is directed at the sedimentary deposits. The deposits are disturbed and transported by water to e.g. a lakeside area or shallow zone with to form island zones or raised banks. Also claimed is a cable (13) operated float (1) assembly with a water jet (6, 7) unit directed at sedimentary deposits (12). The float is advanced by a propeller (6) or pump. The jet is directed at an oblique angle to the deposits. The float and jet describe a pendulum action over the lagoon surface. The jet simultaneously oxygenates the water.
