Injector for implantation of foldable intra-ocular lenses has an outer carrier part, into which the following components are inserted: a forward disk part with which the lens is manually inserted and a hollow chamber for holding the lens. The inside of the hollow chamber has a cleaning fluid connection, which can be activated by the operator. The design of the chamber and connection are such that the cleaning fluid can only escape through the outlet opening through which the lens is inserted into the eye.
