A method for actively mounting e.g. a transmission-engine unit of a vehicle involves using at least one acceleration measurement sensor (2) for recording the local acceleration of a bearing point (1) and then positioning the bearing point (1) by a positioning device (3) in dependence on the measured local acceleration. Following decay of the local acceleration, the bearing point (1) is smoothly positioned back into its original position.
