Method in which if a program section is executed within a give time sequence the execution generates a pattern, e.g. a bit or a bit pattern is set, while at a subsequent time a further program part or subroutine checks to see if the pattern has been generated. If it has not then the routine will not execute. An Independent claim is made for a method in which a program part or subroutine checks to see if a bit or bit pattern has been set, which ensures that the program is executed in the correct sequence. The invention also relates to a corresponding memory device for method implementation.
