The automobile door has a mounting for the sealing strip (7) at the door body with at least one holding rail (12), of an extruded light metal, fitted to the door body (3). The holding rail has a C-shaped holding profile (13) matching the holder profile at the window frame, and they are aligned together on both sides of the transit zones between the upright window frame member and the door body. The sealing strip has a profiled cross section through it, to fit into the two holder profiles.
