The wall element has a rail profile (30) for load securing fixed in a flat multi-layered support section of the wall element. The wall element is fabricated so that the rail profile during manufacture of the support section is inseparably connected to it, especially embedded in at least one layer, before the wall element is mounted on the surface of the vehicle. The support section has a wood, plastic or rigid expanded plastic core (34) with a cover layer (36) on at least one side, with the rail profile fastened in a slot-form cut-out in the cover layer and in a moulding or penetration in the core. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of a wall element for load securing in which a rail profile in inseparably connected to the core of a flat, multi-layered support section followed by the fitting of a cover layer so that it fits over a section of the rail profile.
