To lay a surface on the ground, at industrial zones and as road surfaces and especially at vehicle fuel stations, the upper surface level is formed by slabs (2) sealed (8) against each other on the ground (1). Supports (3) are fitted at the under sides of the slabs, especially at the corners and/or edges, to form a given gap (6) between the slabs and the ground to be filled with a mass (7) of hardened concrete and the like. Surplus concrete fills the joints between the slabs.
