The protocol analyzer includes a first interface configured to receive a packet form a packet network (152), and a second interface configured to transfer the packet to another protocol analyzer (120). A control system is coupled to the first and second interfaces and is configured to receive the packet form the first interface and either to erase the packet or to transfer it to the second interface, based on a destination address in the packet. Independent claims are included for a test system and for a method of operating a protocol analyzer.
