The device has semiconducting layers in sequence in a plane on a substrate with which they form pn-junctions. Metal contact tracks on the substrate for contacting semiconducting layers are arranged in the layer sequence direction, separated perpendicular to this distance and in another plane. Semiconducting layers are divided into mutually isolated sections connected to contact tracks via connecting tracks in the same plane as the contact tracks. The device has a number of semiconducting layers (2,3) arranged in sequence in a plane on a substrate with which each forms a pn-junction. Metal contact tracks (51-53) on the substrate for contacting the semiconducting layers are arranged in the direction of the layer sequence, are separated perpendicular to this distance and in another plane. At least some semiconducting layers are divided into mutually isolated sections (31,32), each connected to a contact track via connecting conducting tracks (6) in the same plane as the contact tracks. AN Independent claim is also included for the following: a sampling unit for a photoelectronic position measurement system and a position measurement system.
