The transporter (1) for the moving of transportable objects (20) has a frame (2) for partially running under the object and upon which is installed a press-on device (12) for pressing onto the object. A drive wheel (11) mounted at the end of the frame is designed to absorb a part of the opposing forces arising through the press-on force. The press-on device can be operated from the front side of the frame by means of an operating arrangement. The press-on device has two support yokes (14) which press onto the underside of the object.
