Independent claims are included for: (1) process for the production of compounds of formula (1) by oxidation of a cobalt-phthalocyanine, substituted wit SO2NR7R8 and optionally halogen and/or alkoxy, and reaction with amines L1 and L2; (2) optical data carrier comprising a transparent substrate having light-writeable information layer and optionally a reflective layer, optionally intermediate layers and/or optionally a protective layer whereby the information layer contains at least one cobalt-phthalocyanine dye of formula (3); (3) process for the production of the optical data carrier by coating the cobalt phthalocyanine complex of formula (3), optionally in combination with suitable binders additives and solvents onto a transparent substrate optionally followed by reflective layer, optionally other intermediate layers and optionally a protective layer.
