Roll stand consists of a column in upper and lower compression pieces on layers of horizontal rollers and adjusting screws. The upper compression piece (3) is formed on the sides of the roller necks by the left and right shoulders (7, 8) whose counter sides are connected so that a central part is formed with a bore (6) for a radial roller bearing. The upper wall of the central part has an enlargement which is proportional to the distances between the curves of the outer surfaces of the compression piece central wall and the bore radius. The thickness of the upper wall of the upper compression piece and the lower wall of the lower compression piece (4) along the vertical bore axis is 0.05-0.25 of the diameter of the bore. Preferred Features: The upper middle part wall of the upper compression piece and the lower wall of each region of the lower compression piece lie in segments forming an angle alpha of 60-120 deg .
