Audio signal water-marking method processes water-mark signal before embedding in audio signal so that it is not audibly perceived

The water-marking method embeds a water-mark in an audio signal by providing a spectral representation of the audio signal and a spectral representation of the water-mark signal, the latter processed in dependence on the psychoacoustic masking threshold of the audio signal, to allow the water-mark signal to be combined with the audio signal without being audibly perceived. An Independent claim for a device for embedding a water-mark signal in an audio signal is also included.
