The clamp has a base for receiving the flat cable (39), consisting of a bottom with two opposed sidewalls extending from it. A cover (37) is connected to one of the sidewalls. A projection (43) extends from the bottom of the base in the same direction as the side walls, being fitted into a slit formed through or notched in the flat cable. A pusher consists of a pair of cantilevers positioned alternately and extending from the cover toward the base. The pushers hold down the flat cable when the cover is closed.
