The incubator (11) has a swing door (16) which opens and closes the access window of a hood (12). The center point (21) of the swing movement is tensed towards the first position. A support (22) holds the door in a setting which allows the center point to move between the two positions. A unit (32,33) to restrict the door swing movement gives a closing action if the angle is less than a critical angle, and an opening movement if it is more than the critical angle. A closure (23) holds the door in the closed position.
